Election Day 2016

Every Election Cycle we offer those in our community a ride to the polls and if you follow us on Instagram (@apridetroitdownriver) you may have seen the ad below as well as a few more. [Ads on Instagram were removed on November 9th due to members sharing their personal contact information for rides.]

Our goal for doing this every election (not just presidential) is to make sure that everyone understands that we, as a community, care about the voice of the individual. APRI Detroit/Downriver Chapter and it's supporters understand that not everyone has access to a car, can afford to ride the bus, Uber and/or Lyft, or may need assistance; so we take great pleasure in driving others, to make sure their voice is heard.

Our chapter President Andrea Hunter taking her youngest daughter/chapter member Cari to vote for the first time!

This year, thanks to our chapter members, many volunteers, and supporters we were able to drive 345 people to cast their vote!

Again, we would like to give a special thank you to all of those who helped us get out the vote and make sure people arrived not only to the polls but back home safely! You're greatly appreciated.

Check below to see a few of our members in action!! To volunteer for our future events, check our out our event page or fill out our contact form. We look forward to working with you
