Youth Chapter
The Detroit Downriver A. Philip Randolph Youth Chapter is a dynamic and empowering organization dedicated to fostering leadership, advocacy, and community engagement among young people in the Downriver area. Inspired by the legacy of A. Philip Randolph—a pioneering civil rights leader and labor organizer—we are committed to advancing social justice, economic equality, and labor rights for all.
YOUTH
Membership for the youth chapter is just $20 per year, offering a valuable opportunity for young people to connect, engage, and contribute to their community. This membership not only provides a platform for networking but also allows youth to participate in meaningful community service, which can be a strong addition to college applications. The chapter is dedicated to empowering its members, giving them the chance to voice their concerns, propose educational and fun events, and even pitch ideas to board members. Members may also have the opportunity to become board members themselves, further shaping the direction and impact of the youth chapter.
